On January 2, information from Bach Mai Hospital said that 4 victims of a coffee shop fire on Pham Van Dong Street (Hanoi) are recovering and breathing on their own.
Previously, on December 19, 2024, all 4 people were transferred to the Poison Control Center, Intensive Care Center, Bach Mai Hospital with a severe prognosis and many unexpected developments.
The patient suffered from respiratory failure, severe burns of the airway mucosa, bilateral diffuse lung damage, myocardial damage, rhabdomyolysis, toxic gas poisoning, airway obstruction due to darkness, and signs of unconsciousness.
Patients received intensive treatment including mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopic irrigation, oxygen, other treatments and rehabilitation activities.

After receiving the news, the fire department dispatched dozens of fire trucks and about 6 ambulances to the scene to extinguish the fire and search and rescue.
